Pathology Medical Director

Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The candidate must have strong general surgical pathology diagnostic skills and experience/expertise in management of clinical laboratory. Fellowship training or expertise in Cytopathology will be preferred. Additional expertise in other major surgical pathology areas would be a plus but not an absolute requirement.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Candidates must have an M.D, or M.D./Ph.D (or foreign equivalent degree)

Possession/eligibility for an unrestricted medical license to practice in New York State

Possession/eligibility to obtain appropriate Certificates of Qualification (CoQ) for Medical Directorship in New York State.

Board certification/eligibility in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Previous experience in directing Pathology/clinical laboratory in hospital setting will be preferred.

Additional Certification/eligibility/experience in Cytopathology will be a plus.
