Position Information: The full time Parts Delivery Driver delivers parts and equipment to customers and vendors. This position interacts with the Parts Manager, Parts Sales, and customers/vendors daily.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greet every customer, every day
  • Maintain high ethical standards when dealing with customers, co-workers and vendors
  • Put safety first. Adhere to all Safety Policies, Procedures and Personal Protective Equipment standards
  • Ensure Customer service is a priority, ensure timely service
  • Communicate delays to Dispatch
  • Maintain safety when driving and delivering, taking care to back into customer lots and avoid blocking customer garage doors
  • Follow all reporting guidelines set on vehicle status.
  • Report needs and concerns on provided forms and to supervisor as they arise
  • Stage orders and stock truck to delivery expectations
  • Check fluid levels, and log mileage daily on provided device or manifest
  • Utilize fleet management tools to scan invoices and validate order vs picked parts
  • Maintain communication through any company devices assigned
  • Listen and relay feedback to wholesale team to provide exceptional customer service
  • Observe customer, inform sales team of competition and other possible opportunities
  • Alert team to market changes, i.e. new shop in market or new competition in established area
  • Ask for applicable returns every visit
  • Return customer credit sheets for processed returns
  • Monitor customer returns area for changes in competition and inform wholesale team of opportunities
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace, as well as ensuring the entire facility is orderly, clean and free of hazards

Requirements

Qualifications: Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Valid Driver's license in state of residence and a good driving record. Ability to use computer and calculator. Will be trained on parts department's computer inventory system. Ability to drive safely. Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors, and other contacts. Professional personal appearance.

Working Conditions: This is a physically demanding position. The Parts Delivery Driver will load, unload and drive company provided delivery vehicles each shift lifting parts weighting 75 pounds several times a day and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Will be required to wear a dealership uniform at all times.
