PART-TIME SPECIAL EDUCATION AIDE I (Middle/High) Reports To: Principal Pay Range: Classified, Range 5: max placement is midpoint Job Family: Classified Work Calendar: 173 days FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Code: Prepared/Revised Date: June 3, 2022 Hours Per Day: 5.5 hours per day, no benefits SUMMARY: Assist special education teachers in obtaining educational goals for students and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment conducive to learning. Reinforce curriculum, activities, and/or skills with small group of students or one-on-one, and collaborate with teacher to implement lesson plans and/or to determine appropriate modifications and/or accommodations for individual students. Supervise students in various school locations and activities. Supervise student behavior and safety, and implement discipline and emergency procedures as needed. May assist teacher with clerical and organizational duties. Must be deemed highly qualified by education (48+ College Credits) or by passing the Work Keys assessment administered by Weld RE-4 after hire.
