Nurse Consultant

We are seeking a part time Nurse Consultant to join the team at our assisted living and memory care community. This position is responsible for the health and well-being of the residents we serve. We are looking for an LPN or RN for this role. 20 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

Assess and monitor the health and social needs of residents to support individualized quality of life

Assist in conducting assessments of new and perspective residents

Diagnose and establish residents' Individualized Service Plans as defined by regulation

Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior

Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding resident care

Educate residents and families about health maintenance and disease prevention

Assisting in all aspects of medication administration and the appropriate use of psychotropic medications and narcotics.

Monitors infection control procedures to ensure compliance with all staff

Qualifications

RN or LPN licensed in Michigan

A minimum of two years experience in Senior Community nursing preferred

Familiarity with medical software and equipment

Ability to build rapport with residents

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Knowledge of and empathy, compassion, sensitivity to residents with dementia and Alzheimer's Disease.

Must be vaccinated
