The Part-Time Clinical Coordinator, NMT is responsible for coordinating clinical education with didactic education as assigned by program director, teaching and evaluating students in class, laboratory, and clinical settings in all areas in the Associate Degree NMT Program. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the evaluation of clinical effectiveness through regular site visits. Participation in College activities and committees such as recruitment, club advisor, and retention for NMT students is required. May include assignment of courses in related areas and support courses. Travel between campuses for meetings, college activities and professional development opportunities will be required. Travel reimbursed at the current IRS rate. This is a part-time position, working up to 25 hours per week. Maintains current certification in compliance with the JRC-NMT Accredited Program. Instructs and evaluates clinical, assigned class and labs in an Associate Degree program. May include teaching related college courses and site visits for clinical evaluation. Councils and evaluates students in all clinical aspects of the NMT program. Makes regular scheduled and unscheduled clinical site visits. Develops and updates course syllabi and related materials to reflect contemporary practices in assigned courses. Collaborates with other faculty in the development of effective teaching/learning and retention strategies. Actively participates in the assessment, implementation and evaluation of the NMT Program. Contributes to and/or generates reports and supportive materials for accrediting agencies. Maintains health requirements per clinical contracts. Maintains necessary academic records and submits records according to published deadlines. Demonstrates fairness and flexibility in interactions with a diverse student population. Assists in the acquisition of related instructional materials and supplies. Participates in College governance and operations through Division and College committees. Contributes to the community as a representative of the College. Maintains professional competence by participating in on-going clinical practice, continuing education, professional conferences relevant to NMT. Works effectively with others Assists and oversees NMT club activities. Oversees ordering of radiation badges and maintains exposure records. Performs other duties, as assigned. Bachelor's degree required Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program. Certified nuclear medicine technologist by a nationally recognized certifying body Knowledgeable of current nuclear medicine technology Minimum of two (2) years post certification experience in nuclear medicine technology Demonstrated leadership and teaching experience Ability to travel, as needed, for College, accreditation, and clinical needs Possess the ability to work well and communicate effectively with prospective and current students, staff, faculty, administration, and colleagues and community partners Demonstrated cultural competence, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff and a commitment to a student-centered environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATION Master's Degree from an accredited institution If certain conditions exist, this position requires you to have access to personal technological equipment and capabilities to perform your duties.COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement for all positions at Rowan College of South Jersey.
