Job Summary Job Summary The job of Paraprofessional - Moderate/Severe (Behavioral or Medical by assignment) is done for the purpose/s of assisting teaching personnel in the supervision, instruction, and positive support of special education students; monitoring students during classroom and non-classroom times; providing for special health care needs; developing students' daily living and behavioral skills and assisting with record keeping, material production and other non-instructional activities. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Paraprofessionals are required by the NCLB to be able to demonstrate knowledge of, and the ability to, assist with instruction, reading/language arts, and mathematics, either by possessing an Associate's Degree or Higher, or 48 Semester College Units, or passing a minimum proficiency exam.
