Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Paralegal to join our fast-paced legal team. This is a permanent position where you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys by performing a range of legal tasks from research to case management. If you're a detail-oriented professional with a knack for legal research, writing, and a passion for the law, we'd like to speak with you.

Responsibilities:

As a Paralegal, your core duties will include:

1. Conducting extensive legal research and analysis on a variety of topics relevant to ongoing cases.
2. Assisting lawyers in preparing for litigation, including gathering and organizing evidence, case files, and other relevant documents.
3. Drafting a wide array of legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and other legal correspondence.
4. Maintaining and managing case files, ensuring they are up-to-date and easily accessible.
5. Coordinating and scheduling court depositions, hearings, and other meetings.
6. Offering litigation support during trials, including note-taking, handling exhibits, and liaising with clients and witnesses.
7. Providing general administrative support to attorneys, including managing schedules, making travel arrangements, and maintaining legal databases.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

1. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment.
3. Exceptional knowledge of legal research tools and databases.
4. Proven experience in drafting legal documents and correspondence.
5. Proficient in case management and legal procedures.
6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective legal writing and client interaction.
8. Proficient in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Certification from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program is a plus.
10. Familiarity with the litigation process and experience in providing litigation support is preferred.
