The Painter is responsible for preparing and painting of all unit turns, assisting with all painting projects relating to property including painting of interior and exterior communal areas.

What You Will Do:

  • Assist in monitoring Yardi move out calendar closely with Maintenance Supervisor to be able to schedule date to paint and repair vacant unit.
  • Ensuring residential vacant units are painted in a timely and efficient manner, as well as determines if work has been completed properly.

  • Properly prepare painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, and/or removing old paint.
  • Properly and thoroughly prepare surrounding area(s) by covering with drop cloth, cardboard runners, or painter's plastic to prevent messes and thoroughly clean and tidy up areas when completed. Mix, match, and apply paints and other finishes to various surfaces.
  • Keep up to date on current techniques and methods, including utilization of equipment.
  • Apply a variety of finishes on surfaces ranging from concrete to drywall including but not limited to taping, texturing, drywall repairs/patches, stains, and paint in multiple colors.
  • Equipment and control inventory through established parts for all necessary tools and equipment; advise supervisor of any supplies needed by conducting regular inventory checks.
  • Ability to identify communal areas in need of paint and repair by conducting monthly property walks and meeting with supervisors at each site to integrate workload into monthly schedule.
  • Required knowledge and ability to operate a scissor lift for high clearance repairs.

  • Provides excellent customer service to prospective and current tenants and promotes a quality living experience for all residents.
  • Assists supervisor with scheduling and communicating with vendors and contractors.
  • Assists with purchasing paint supplies for the property while staying within the planned budget.
  • Participates in Company-provided training such as fair housing, safety, non-discrimination, and harassment prevention.
  • Complies with all Company National Standards, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, and applicable local, state, and federal laws.

What You Will Bring:

  • Experienced with painting an asset.
  • Must be initiative-taking and able to work independently.
  • Proven history of success in said field for a minimum of 3 years.
