Painter Assistant III MR04 - Starting rate depending on experience Under direct supervision the Painter Assistant assists with preparing and repairing interior and exterior buildings, walls, ceilings and other components and paints them. Duties/Responsibilities: Paint different surfaces (interior and exterior) Prepare surfaces for painting; scraping, sanding, cleaning, patching and repairing walls (Drywall and plaster), pressure washing Clean work area and leave in its original condition Minimum/Required Qualifications (include education, experience, skills and abilities, licenses and certifications); Valid Tennessee Driver's License High school diploma or GED This is an entry level position. No experience is necessary. Must be able to test, pass, and wear a respirator. Applicant should be able to lift, climb and work at varying heights. Must have some knowledge of proper ladder use. Must have some knowledge of proper hand tool use. Must have some knowledge of safe work practices, be in good physical health and able to perform moderately strenuous work activities.
