Paint Line Supervisor

Overview Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in production on the Cement line and Paint line by performing the following duties. Responsibilities Examines materials and products at various stages of processing for conformance to specifications. Observes machines and equipment for malfunction and orders adjustments or repairs or directs workers to make adjustments or repairs. Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Maintains time and production records. Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials. Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. Sets up machines and equipment. Performs activities of workers supervised. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly is responsible for a team of 17 employees within both the Cement and Paint lines, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and legal requirements. Key responsibilities include conducting interviews, facilitating hiring processes, providing comprehensive training, strategizing work assignments, overseeing task execution, evaluating performance, administering rewards and disciplinary actions, handling complaints, and effectively resolving operational issues. Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Forklift and Backhoe/Front end loader certified.
