Paint Line Operator - Operator

SAFETY:

  • Understand and follow all safety procedures
    1. Current on all safety trainings
    2. Wears all required PPE when necessary (steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs)
  • Understand Lock Out Tag Out procedures for assigned areas.
  • Perform duties according to OSHA guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Complete General Plan Safety Training within the first 8 weeks.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Deliver totes from paint mixing to the paint kitchen as needed
  • Changes out empty paint totes with full totes and add the correct amount of water to each tote
  • Maintain all paint pumps and agitators at the paint kitchen
  • Responsible for taking a paint sample for each new paint tote and recording the findings
  • Monitors the paint flow at the paint stations
  • Clean and change dirty spray nozzles
  • Adjust paint spray gun (nozzles) in order to get the proper paint flow (spray) by turning appropriate valves on paint spray machines
  • Maintain a constant flow of product on the production line at all times
  • Safely removes dropped or broken boards from between the production lines

EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:

  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Sprayers and nozzles
  • Sponge roller
  • Forklift certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs and to push-pull up to 75lbs.
  • Must be able to work long periods while continuously standing, twisting, bending, reaching, and stooping.
  • Must be able to work environment which is dusty and noisy.
  • Must be able to work in plant environment with extreme seasonal temperatures.
