JOB DESCRIPTION: Registered Nurse Hours: Full-time ($5,000 Sign on Bonus)
Part-time
PRN
Shift: Days 7am-7pm or
Nights 7am-7pm
Department Specific Accountabilities: We are looking for Pre-Op/PACU staff nurse who is competent, knowledgeable, and flexible to be a part of our family like atmosphere at McPherson Hospital. We have top notch physicians in a great atmosphere with competitive pay.
This position is a combination of pre-op and PACU nursing which is responsible for the patient's admission to the facility, comprehensive pre-operative care, immediate post-operative care, and stabilization for return to the home environment.
This Pre-Op/PACU nurse position also coordinates pre-operative lab work and makes pre-op and post op phone calls.
The ideal candidate can demonstrate good nursing knowledge, perform thorough and accurate continual patient assessments, document thoroughly and timely, and keep patients safe.
This candidate works independently but assists other team members.
This position must show flexibility in accommodating schedule changes and be available Monday - Friday. Calls are scheduled on a rotating basis.
REQUIREMENTS: - Associate degree or equivalent formal training program.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred requirement)
- Licensed in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse
- BLS
- ACLS & PALS verified within 6 months of hiring.
