As a Permanent Packaging Line Mechanic, you will be a vital cog in the manufacturing wheel. Your role will involve ensuring that our packaging lines are running at peak efficiency, ensuring that our products are packed to the highest standards and dispatched on time. This is a hands-on role that requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for problem-solving, and a commitment to maintaining our high-quality standards. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where quick thinking and initiative are key. This is a full-time role that requires dedication and commitment.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair packaging line machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
2. Implement preventive maintenance programs for all packaging line equipment.
3. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues including but not limited to motors, conveyors, and other related equipment.
4. Use CMMS to track and document all maintenance activities and updates.
5. Perform electrical troubleshooting and repair tasks as required.
6. Read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics to perform required maintenance and service.
7. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.
8. Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.
9. Train other team members on the operation and maintenance of packaging line equipment.
10. Work with the management team to implement continuous improvement strategies.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience with CMMS, electrical troubleshooting, pneumatics, mechanical maintenance, motors, conveyors, and schematics.
3. Strong mechanical aptitude with an advanced understanding of mechanics, pneumatics, conveyors, gears, and pumps.
4. Demonstrated ability to interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, specifications, and manuals.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Proven ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
9. Strong commitment to health and safety protocols.
10. High school diploma or equivalent required; further technical training or certification is highly desirable.
