Packaging Engineer II

Primary Talent Partners has a 12-month Packaging Engineer opening with a Medical Device Manufacturing client in Santa Ana, CA. The pay for this role is $57 to $70 per hour.

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Packaging Specialist with a strong background in Medical Device Manufacturing. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in designing, developing, and testing various packaging solutions in adherence to ISO 11607 requirements. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for this role, as the candidate will work closely with stakeholders and contribute to the overall success of projects.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and test a variety of containers for the protection, display, and handling of medical products.

Determine packaging specifications based on product nature, cost limitations, legal requirements, and required protection.

Consider external variables such as moisture, corrosive chemicals, temperature variations, light, heat, rough handling, and tampering in packaging designs.

Create package exteriors, taking into account product identification, sales appeal, aesthetic quality, printing, and production techniques.

Manage documentation and coordinate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Support prototype line development in manufacturing facilities/plants.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree

3+ years of experience in Medical Device Manufacturing

Strong understanding of ISO 11607 Requirements

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work full time on-site at our Santa Ana location

Flexibility for potential schedule adjustments after 3-6 months based on stakeholder alignment
