Job Responsibilities Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum is seeking a hardworking and dependable candidate just like you to apply. Responsibilities of the Overnight Program Duty Officer: Perform as a member of the Patriots Point Overnight Program for the development and execution of overnight guests on board the Yorktown. The job duties of this position include but are not limited to the following: Facilitate the overnight program while guests are on board; manage group check-ins; making sure the leader of each group is providing appropriate paperwork to comply with policies and procedures; assisting guests with meals; performing opening/closing duties; accordingly, ensuring all overnight guests are prepped and attend the appropriate fire safety drills. Assist the program director in performance of customer service to all overnight guests primarily during their visit to Patriots Point. May be required to perform administrative tasks in the department office on a case-by-case basis. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of the overnight program; collect guest survey data. Minimum and Additional Requirements High school diploma required and a valid driver's license. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Experience working with the general public and school aged children. Ability to effectively communicate with guests and potential customers as well as other staff members. Ability to maintain a professional, personal appearance when on site or promoting the program. Knowledge of the USS Yorktown, military history, and naval best practices or the desire to learn about these aspects of the program. Preferred Qualifications Up to date First Aid and CPR certifications (The agency offers these certifications through its Fire and Life Safety division).
