Overnight Licensed Practical Nurse Supervisor

Overview: The LPN Supervisor can act as supervisor to other Direct Care staff and registered medication aides to provide the highest quality care and services to meet the overall needs of residents in a caring, consistent, and efficient manner through a personal, one-on-one approach. Review Narcotic count book to ensure that staff are signing the sheet at the beginning and end of each shift. Ensure that med carts are cleaned inside and outside. Re-stock as needed. Ensure that rounds are being done as required, and that the round sheet is completed. Ensure that residents are being toileted every two hours if desired/needed, and that the bowel/bladder sheet is being completed as required. At the end of the shift, gather 24-hour report sheet and verbally pass along all information to the incoming Shift Supervisor. Ensure that incident reports, documentation, and other policies/procedures are being completed and/or followed. Respond to emergencies and follow up with appropriate documentation and notification Oversees training programs for direct care staff in the community, as regulated by Federal and State licensing requirements.
