Overnight Clinical Research Nurse

Shift 7:00 PM-7:00 AM 3 12-Hour Shifts Qualifications Must have a minimum of 2 years of Clinical Research experience Must hold an active Maryland Registered Nurse License Overnight Clinical Research Nurse Mainly do post-operative pain studies and bunionectomies, 3 to 9 a day; all pain studies Be familiar with protocol procedures and GCP guidelines/CFR; obtains vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, SpO2, and capnometry Administers intravenous medications, inclusive of narcotic medications according to a strict time schedule Completes specific patient assessment tools including pain assessments and side effects per protocol Evaluate and treat potential narcotic or post-operative side effects; obtain 12-lead electrocardiogram Obtain blood specimens through existing IV access or direct phlebotomy stick Assess and maintain IV access; insert IV catheter as necessary Document all procedures accurately according to strict time schedule Perform basic laboratory procedures, including but not limited to urine drug screening and urine pregnancy testing Works with other staff to ensure completion of all protocol activities according to the timeline About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
