Job Details

Summary:
  • This position requires a highly self-motivated individual who has a proven consultative selling track record.
  • As we expand to meet market demands we will be adding sales representatives to assigned territories throughout South Florida & the Caribbean. You will be responsible for the development of new or existing accounts in market segments such as hotels, bars & restaurants, country clubs, schools, health-care, and catering.
  • You will receive the needed training and the support of our experienced and knowledgeable sales staff to grow your territory and support your entrepreneurial spirit.

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have 2+ years experience in business-to-business sales.
  • Hospitality, restaurant and foodservice industry experience is a plus.
  • Must be comfortable making cold calls and consultative sales/marketing presentations.
  • Must have the ability to function in an autonomous environment with strong communication skills.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook, as well as basic computer skills.
  • Ability to speak & write professionally in Spanish a plus.

The perfect candidate will be able to:
  • Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers and solicit orders
  • Display and demonstrate products using samples and catalogs to emphasize features and benefits
  • Quote selling prices
  • Work conjointly with accounts receivable for collections on all accounts
  • Ensure proper service and follow-ups on all accounts
  • Maintain daily contact with internal departments, manager, customers, factory reps and other outside sources as required
  • Analyze and stay up-to-date on the current market, competitor sales and pricing
  • Possess a thorough working knowledge and understanding of the customer and company order cycle
  • Enhance ongoing relationships with clients through post-project meetings and follow up
  • Ensure that all presentations and selling ideas are made to all persons who have an influence on the purchase of the product
  • Develop and maintain an active prospect list
  • Ability to communicates and resolves complex ideas
  • Displays stronger than average energy levels; be a self- starter who is able to strive in situations where managing multiple, time-sensitive commitments without compromising the integrity of the company
  • Maintain call reports as expected by VP of Sales & Marketing; including but not limited to prospective new accounts, follow-ups completed, potential sales, discuss initiatives and progress in assigned territory
  • Attend and participate in Sales Meetings held Friday's at 8:30 am by VP of Sales & Marketing
