Job purpose

Roofers Supply of Greenville, a Beacon company, is looking for a self-driven and skilled Outside Sales Representative professional who builds customer relationships, follows up on leads, and maximizes sales opportunities. The ideal candidate identifies with prospects, ensures customer satisfaction, and constantly seeks new opportunities to drive business growth.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Build and sustain long-lasting relationships with new and existing customer base within assigned sales territory
  • Travel within assigned sales territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers
  • Educate owners, architects, roof consultants and customers on product features
  • Attend training workshops and industry conferences to stay up to date on latest product features and benefits
  • Utilize time management to manage time and a territory effectively
  • Continually meet or exceed sales targets
  • Develop and implement an effective sales strategy to drive sales
  • Research competitors' products and pricing as well as market conditions
  • Strategically negotiate with potential and existing customers and related parties to close sales
  • Responsible for the overall performance and development of assigned and newly developed accounts
  • Develop new business opportunities through cold calls and lead generation
  • Automobile is kept neat, clean and in good repair for professional appearance
  • Observe and benchmark off of other outstanding Sales Representatives in all aspects of the sales process to utilize skills necessary in your sales territory

Qualifications

  • Required High School diploma and preferred bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years' sales experience in related field
  • Proficient with a variety of the exterior building products field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to read architectural plans and drawings
  • Detailed oriented and excellent time management skills
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and highly motivated
  • Proficient skill with Personal Computer Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Preferred experience utilizing Business Intelligence systems to manage portfolio (Mincron, Salesforce, Tablou, and Logic Track)

Working conditions

  • Extensive travel requirements as needed for business purposes
  • Work assignments may be completed remotely and/or available company offices/branches within respective markets

Physical requirement s

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a comput e r and/or keyboard
  • Heavy methods of verbal and auditory communication via phone, virtual calls, and/or email
