Outside Maintenance Technician

JOB SUMMARY: Full time, seasonal role from May through October. Maintain all aspects of the outside facilities of Harrah's and Harvey's Lake Tahoe. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS: Perform all aspects of landscaping, including but not limited to, planting, weeding, trimming, mowing, and watering. Operate installed sprinkler systems and provide basic troubleshooting to ensure proper operation. Cleanup and removal of all garbage and waste from the grounds, not including internal to the buildings. Perform painting of curbs and street lines on property. Assist in movement of various material utilizing heavy equipment, including forklifts, front loaders, and dump trucks. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma preferred. Experience operating heavy equipment highly preferred.QUALIFICATIONS: Valid driver's license required to operate vehicles in the states of California and Nevada. Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business. Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same. Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.PHYSICAL, MENTAL and ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Visual and auditory field must include immediate environment. Physical mobility to move about property quickly. Ability to frequently lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 90 pounds. Ability to climb ladders or crawl through tight spaces in high or low areas while carrying approximately 30 pounds of tools or equipment. Agility skills to include occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, and turning. Dexterity skills to include constant reaching, handling, working with fingers, and hand coordination. Ability to tolerate tight spaces in high or low areas. Ability to tolerate dust, chemicals, or fumes. Potential exposure to hazardous conditions. Must be able to work in a 'smoke-filled' environment and tolerate loud noises and bright lights. Must be capable of working indoors or outdoors during all seasons, including unusually hot, cold, smoky, and/or dimly lit areas.Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products.
