The Outpatient Clinician provides a variety of medically necessary clinical services to a diverse client population informed by quality assessment, efficient treatment, and timely medical documentation. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Clinical Completes diagnostic assessments and treatment planning. Provides outpatient behavioral health treatment appropriate to the situation, including: individual, family, group, and in-home therapy. Performs utilization review as requested. Work with a variety of individuals with a variety of diagnoses, within competency. Implements medically necessary clinical treatment services, functional capacity, and clinical determination of Level of Care (LOC) for all clients. Completes all service provisions through timely and quality record documentation 90% of the time within 48 hours. Provide the number of services to clients as required for position . Provides assessment and treatment for clients in a crisis episode, including emotional support to those clients and families and refer to appropriate resources. Refers for appropriate services to meet the medical necessity of clients. Participates in department meetings and meetings with supervisor. Supports Horizons Mental Health Center agency in a professional manner with other agencies. Supports and meets with other department staff as needed to serve clients. Completes required trainings needed for agency. Completes related activities as assigned by the department head or direct supervisor. Other duties as assigned. Autism Specialist/Board Certified Behavior Analyst Completes functional behavior assessments, preference assessments, treatment planning for behaviors. Uses appropriate assessments to determine behaviors needing to be addressed. Develops programs for client and family to implement. Works with parents/guardians on parent training programs. Coordinates care with Intensive Individual Support/Registered Behavior Technician staff to implement programs. Supervise Intensive Individual Support/Registered Behavior Technician to oversee services provided to clients and provide appropriate feedback. Tracks data using appropriate data tools. Completed required authorization requests to insurance companies on behalf of the client to receive services. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Clinical Knowledge of various theoretical treatments and practice applications. Knowledge of various diagnoses and appropriate treatments. Knowledge of and practice of ethical rules and regulations. Knowledge and practice derived from direct service provision. Knowledge of and practice of Applied Behavior Analysis techniques. Knowledge of behavior tracking techniques. Knowledge of and practice of parent training techniques. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Experience managing treatment plans and treatment teams, including directing and managing client treatment with other providers. Specialized treatment including EMDR, DBT, SFBT, Motivational Interviewing, CBT and other evidenced based treatments. Must be able to lead and/or facilitate process improvement. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Masters' Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Marriage and Family Therapy. Working towards or completed training for Autism Specialist or Board Certified Behavior Analyst. PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Three to five years of experience working with diagnosing and treating the SPMI/SMI or SED populations. Understand integrating care with other providers. Ability to supervise other clinicians for their clinical licensure (must have two years of experience after gaining clinical licensure). Three to five years of experience working with diverse client population including high-risk populations. REQUIRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION: Current with BSRB Licensed at Masters Level Clinician. Current or working towards Autism Specialist certification or current or working towards certification with the BACB. All necessary trainings for delivering specialized care, including all applicable trainings for being a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). Valid Driver's License. PREFERRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION: Clinical Level Licensure by BSRB.
