IU Health is currently seeking an engaging and innovative leader, who is results-driven and inspired by meaningful work. The Outpatient Pharmacy Manager will have oversight of Blackford Pharmacy. They will have approximately 4 direct reports including Pharmacists and Pharmacy Techs. This position is scheduled to work 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday. No weekends or holidays. The Outpatient Pharmacy Manager will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the outpatient pharmacy and its staff. Provides comprehensive medication-related care for the purpose of achieving excellent outcomes that improve a patient's health and quality of life. Works very closely with physicians and other health care professionals to coordinate and optimize the treatment of the patient. Is responsible for assisting the pharmacy director with preparing and performing all activities involved in the operation of the outpatient pharmacy. Assists the Director in complying with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. Will assist in new process implementation and quality improvement initiatives. Responsible for inventory management and the ongoing financial performance of the outpatient pharmacy. QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Requires current Indiana license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist Requires PharmD or BS degree in Pharmacy. 5 - 7 years pharmacist experience is required Requires knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to dispensing of drugs and narcotics Management experience is preferred Why Join IU Health?
