Overview Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant- Outpatient NovaCare Rehabilitation in Delmar DE Orthopedics, Pelvic Health, Sports Medicine, Neurology, Vestibular, Concussion, and Industrial Experience the power of physical therapy with NovaCare. NovaCare's community-oriented outpatient orthopedic center in Delmar, DE is looking for a licensed, compassionate, caring, and driven physical therapist assistant (PTA) to provide exceptional patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. This is a PRN opportunity that may include some evenings on an as needed basis coverage. Our evenings go until 6pm with your last patient scheduled an hour prior. We have an experienced clinical staff with front desk support on staff able to offer mentorship for a recent graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant (LPTA) program. Previous outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred. Our team averages 10-12 patients in a day treating everyone from pediatrics to geriatrics. Our specialty services are expansive and include neuro, vestibular, concussion, ACL Program, Fall Prevention, Pelvic Health, and Post Offer Employment Testing (POETs) on top of general orthopedics and post-op. This is a PRN or per diem position. Full time may be an option in the future. New graduates WELCOME to apply, you must have your Delaware PTA license to begin. Unique Location/Job Details: This is a diverse orthopedic practice that sees a diverse patient mix from pediatric to geriatric. Location: 38552 Sussex Highway, Delmar DE 19940 This would be hourly paid position with the ability to participate in locally hosted CEU accrediting courses. No medical benefits are offered for per diem or PRN physical therapist assistants, but we DO expect this opportunity to grow into steady hours soon. Responsibilities Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act. Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program. Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures. Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff. Qualifications A valid state license (where applicable), registration or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant upon graduation from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants, and having passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE. State license and/or certification must be valid in the state in which the individual will practice.
