OSP Construction Foreman

Job Description Description:

Our client is one of the largest Telecommunication Vendors in the DMV and has a large presence across the East Coast. They provide full turnkey solutions for both wireless and wireline sectors. Their wireless sectors are split up into a few groups, but ultimately support the major carriers.

This position will be supporting the OSP team for both wireline and wireless sectors. The Construction Foreman will be in charge of leading a 4-person crew to perform underground telecommunications/utility work, conduit/cable placement, and ground restoration. The Foreman will be reporting to a Project Manager who will take care of the majority of client/admin duties, but the foreman still needs to be client facing. They need to have solid experience working on directional bore drill (Vermeer) or location experience (quarterbacking the drill to the actual operator), they also need to be able to provide direction to get the rest of the job done to the Helper and Tech II.

Top Skills Details:

1. 5+ Years of OSP Foreman/Drill Operator underground construction experience.

2. Experience performing locator or drill operator duties. Mechanical excavation, trenching, or duct bank installation is a plus (the Foreman will be more involved with mini-excavator/skid steerers, they will have an operator on their team)

3. Work ethic and reliability, quality of work

4. Ability to communicate with end clients and effectively run 4-person crew.
