We are a growing dental service organization (DSO) that supports several dozen partner locations across the country. Our goal is to help you grow and positively impact lives by improving the smiles, confidence, and overall health of our guests. Ortho Dental Records Technician will be responsible for taking all orthodontic records of our pediatric dental patients (Images and radiographs). While not taking ortho records responsibilities will be making recall calls to patients, sterilize dental instruments including instrument cassettes, bur blocks, endo file boxes, and handpieces. Track dental instruments through all phases of the cleaning and sterilization process by utilizing scanning technology. Perform routine maintenance on a variety of dental equipment. Operate disinfection and sterilization equipment. Troubleshoot error messages, perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal operation of equipment. Basic Requirements: 1- 5 years of experience. Vocational/Technical training or Associates Degree Radiology certification and Dental Assistant License Familiarity with dental software, email, and Microsoft Word Ability to lift 25 lbs. with or without accommodation. Operating X-ray and iTero scanning equipment. Preparing and sterilizing instruments, materials, and equipment in accordance with OSHA. Ensure instruments and equipment are effectively maintained. Making sure doctor and assistant has instruments needed if asked for. Recording doctor notes for doctor or assistant. Keep clinical area clean by wiping down counter tops, sweeping when needed, taking trash out. Other duties as assigned Skills and knowledge: Demonstrate a working knowledge of dental records and documentation. Comply with clinical protocols and standards. Sound knowledge of health and safety protocols. Ability to perform basic computer functions. Support corporate vision and strategy.
