Job Description: JOB SUMMARY: Ormco is seeking a strategic leader for the role of Global Director of Procurement, Orthodontics. In this position, you will be challenged with overseeing global procurement priorities while instilling strategic procurement principles within the core procurement group. We seek a leader that can deliver breakthrough savings via Purchase Price Variance while simultaneously protecting the business through Risk Mitigation. Responsibilities include providing leadership across the organization and supply base, leading a team focused on procurement and supply chain initiatives, and collaborating with global strategic partners. You will be accountable for sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts with vendors, ensuring the delivery of quality, timely, and cost-effective solutions. This role reports to the VP of Global Operations and encompasses cost-effective procurement of goods and services with a focus on identifying opportunities for cost savings. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Evaluate and analyze current vendor spend and contracts for potential savings. Develop cost-effective strategies for purchasing supplies and services. Manage relationships with vendors, act as a point of contact, and negotiate advantageous terms. Source and engage new vendors while maintaining relationships with existing ones. Control spend and foster a culture of long-term cost savings. Draft and negotiate contractual terms with vendors in collaboration with the legal department. Manage all vendor Request for Proposal (RFP) processes. Provide leadership for the Vendor Management Office (VMO) in alignment with technology and enterprise objectives. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop criteria and best practices for vendor selection. Manage tools for vendor management, including tracking, analytics, and performance management. Act as a leadership-level point of contact between vendors and internal customers. Oversee reporting on vendor contracts, performance, risk, and relationships to key stakeholders. Maintain a repository of vendors and track engagement milestones. Manage vendor relationships, serving as a point of escalation and driving issue resolution. Measure and report vendor performance, maintaining risk assessments in collaboration with other teams. Source, evaluate, and select vendors aligning with business requirements and standards. Develop global procurement strategy aligned with corporate and business priorities. Identify, establish relationships with, and manage engagement with strategic suppliers supporting the Ortho business development. Optimize strategy for negotiating terms supporting the company's goals, including cost, technical, and operational aspects. Partner with cross-functional teams to align the supply chain with broader strategic goals. Drive visibility of technology roadmaps for key stakeholders. Ensure critical supply chain data is available for proactive risk mitigation. Lead and mentor a team of Strategic Sourcing Managers and Strategic Technical Buyers. Other duties may be assigned, in addition to those identified above. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, procurement/sourcing, engineering, or a reasonable equivalent field 10 +years of experience of progressive sourcing responsibilities, spend responsibilities in excess of $250 Million USD, management experience, and a thorough understanding and experience in sourcing processes and practices. Experience in project management required. Past success with leading a team. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) or other advanced degree is desirable. Expertise in strategic sourcing, financial and business opportunity analysis, cost modeling, and legal frameworks for contract negotiation (development, supply, licensing, and service agreements). Excellent communication skills, including influencing cross-functional stakeholders at the C-level. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, and cross-functional environment to achieve business objectives. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts and invoices. Highly organized and detail oriented. Strong customer service, judgment, problem-solving, time management, organizational, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with supplier contracts and/or supplier management is a plus. Experience with offshore and managed service provider contracts. Experience with project sourcing Experience about laws and regulations applicable to global contracts. Experience with Contract Law. Hands-on experience with proven track record of success in running "Reverse Auction" RFQ Events Exposure in high-mix low-volume (HMLV) environment Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing production environments to include experience implementing Kanban/Consignment systems. Understanding of Agile contracts. IND123 Target Market Salary Range: Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
