Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Organizational Development Consultant to optimize organizational staffing structures and enhance workforce effectiveness for our clients. As a consultant, you will leverage your expertise in human resources (HR), organizational development, and/or workforce planning to provide strategic guidance and deliver actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of the organization's structure, job roles, and staffing practices to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with board members and stakeholders to understand business objectives, workforce needs, and strategic priorities.
  • Perform job analyses to define clear job descriptions, competency frameworks, and career pathways that align with workforce development goals.
  • Utilize workforce planning methodologies to forecast future staffing requirements based on business growth projections and industry trends.
  • Conduct skills gap analyses to identify areas where additional training, development, or recruitment may be necessary to meet organizational objectives.
  • Assess organizational health indicators such as employee engagement, turnover rates, and performance metrics to identify areas of strength and improvement.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and actionable insights based on data-driven analyses to enhance workforce efficiency, productivity, and retention.
  • Assist in designing and implementing talent management strategies, succession plans, and diversity initiatives to cultivate a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  • Develop change management strategies and support organizational transformations, including restructuring, mergers, or technology implementations.
  • Deliver presentations and/or reports to board members and senior leadership, communicating findings, recommendations, and progress on consultancy projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in workforce development, HR consulting, organizational development, or related roles.
  • Strong proficiency in workforce planning methodologies, job analysis techniques, and HR analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct data-driven analyses and translate findings into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations, government agencies, educational institutions, or workforce development boards is desirable.
