Oracle HCM QA Lead

Job Overview:
Work as a QA Lead, responsible for implementing standard QA/ testing practices and overseeing and/or participating
in all aspects of project testing on HCM implementation project.
Job Description:
Act as a QA lead, owning the QA activities for an application built using Fusion HCM.
Collaborate with different stakeholders and support them for testing activities when needed.
Define custom test strategy based on the business and system requirements such that the project timelines
can be met without compromising on quality.
Write test scenarios and test scripts for application functionalities and End to End integrations.
Perform functional testing for an application built on Oracle fusion cloud like the System testing, Regression
testing, Data Migration Testing, End to end testing etc.
Participate in customer calls, the requirement gathering exercises, sprint planning / grooming sessions,
sprint review etc. as needed.
Work in close liaison with the customer and project team for communications related to the testing
activities.
Work with the testing team to lay out the approach so that the application functionalities are tested as soon
as the development is complete, so that no defect gets leaked from the test environment.
Monitor the project from process as well as quality standpoint and alert the project manager about the
deviations/risks at the earliest.
Duties and Responsibilities
Act as a QA lead for one of the applications built using Oracle Fusion Cloud, understand and follow the QA
Process guidelines.
Work along with the system integrator (SI) and define test strategy and test approach for the application
under test to meet the project timelines without compromising on quality.
Review and understand the requirement specifications and design documents.
Perform test planning activities for each sprint and ensure that the testing is performed as per the defined
test strategy.
Develop test scripts utilizing business requirements/functional documentation & design specifications.
Review the Test Scripts supplied by SI, coordinate with workstream Product Owners, Business Process Leads
and Business SMEs for review.
Execute SIT test scripts, record actual results, document, and retest defects.
Review Unit/SIT/UAT test results, test cases/results
Participate in the build sprint(s) and SIT activities to ensure defects are triaged, tracked, and dispositioned
using the testing tools and methods.
Engage with SI, QA Analyst & Business Process Leads to outline test plan for each cycle.
Partner with Workstream Product Owners, Business Process Leads and Business SMSs to develop UAT test
scripts for business scenarios and coordinate UAT execution as well as ensure defects are triaged, tracked,
and dispositioned using the testing tools and methods.
Provide orientation and tool training (as applicable) to the internal and external stakeholders.
Work closely with PM to communicate and document QA related risks, provide QA status and metrics.
Coordinating testing activities, conducting test runs and cycles, defect tracking, issue resolution and lead
defect triage meetings.
Provide input for Go-NoGo decisions and participate in go-NoGo meeting.
Collaborate with the rest of the project team and keep them posted on any risks foreseen w.r.t application
quality.
Certify that the features getting delivered meet the quality expectations from the functional and
performance aspects.
Perform test reporting like test progress report, summary report, quality metrics, manage the defect triage
meetings etc. and keep the project team posted on how each sprint is progressing.
