Title Oracle Database Administrator Clearance Requirements Secret Clearance Certification Requirements 8570 Certification Location Montgomery, AL Description Location: Montgomery, AL - Hybrid Security Clearance: Secret The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the installation and sustainment work needed to support Oracle products that include Oracle Hyperion, Oracle Enterprise Performance Management, Oracle Data Integrator, Oracle Data Relationship Management, Oracle Databases, and Oracle Internet Directory. A strong working knowledge of Fusion Middleware and Web Logic will be needed to be successful in this role. A candidate will need to be battle tested with their knowledge and skills with these applications and more hosted on cloud-based Linux and Microsoft Server operating environment hosted in a IaaS cloud service provider. An ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, work well with others, have insatiable thirst of learning new technologies, and excellent communication skills to effectively share your knowledge. Helping the team achieve a high level of performance and quality, holding teams accountable for their work, removing obstacles, and mentoring less experienced team members. Defining the project's schedule and scope while balancing this with timely and regular value deliveries and organizing and leading working and project status meetings. Delivering Agile projects that offer outstanding business value to the users. Advising on best practices addressing Department of Defense cybersecurity requirements and their integration with COTS deployments in various cloud-based PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS configurations. Supporting the product owner in managing communications with stakeholders, managing customer's expectations for deliverables, and implementing an effective project governance system. Delivering top notch technical services that meet or exceed vendor best practices, DoD guidelines, Air Force requirements, and industry standards. Promote team empowerment through team-building techniques, ensuring each team member is making a meaningful contribution and fully engaged in the project.Responsibilities Perform database administration support services for Oracle E-Business, Oracle Hyperion, Data warehouse/Business, and other databases supporting client applications. Perform Oracle Fusion Middleware and Web Logic product installs, patching, upgrade, troubleshooting and maintenance. Setting up and maintenance of oracle Single sign on, Oracle OID, Oracle OAM. Identify database requirements for each system by analyzing applications and operations, as well as evaluating existing systems to support operational optimization through data integration and data architectural changes. Recommending and implementing database security policies Recommending and implementing database backup, recovery, redundancy strategies and support disaster recovery related operations as needed Implementing automated monitoring to ensure proactive handing of issues. Provide Subject Matter Expertise and advisory services that may extend to break/fix support. Recognizing areas for improvement in the systems and team. Taking appropriate action to initiate changes, installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining database instances. Continuously monitor the databases for storage space, availability, and performance Clone Oracle databases across servers and networks as needed. Patch Management and Version Control Working independently to perform database performance analysis, capacity planning, system sizing and ongoing maintenance. Maintain system documentation, including baseline configurations, installation, upgrades, security, and event logs. Work with system owners, cloud engineers, cybersecurity staff to provide input for Authorization & Accreditations (A&A) and ATO Review, edit, and update documentation to assure database security, integrity, and accuracy. Provide support for internal and external data calls. Review and provide feedback to system owners on the quarterly Critical Patch Updates (CPU) that come from Oracle. Coordinate with system owners and OCIO on the testing and implementation of these patches across all environments Preferred vendor certifications include Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), OCP Oracle Database Administrator, OCP Oracle e-Business Suite R12 Applications DBAPosition Requirements Qualifications: This position requires a minimum of eight (8) years of experience working with two or more of the Oracle Applications listed above At least 3 years of experience with Oracle Enterprise Performance Management At least three (3) years of experience working with implementation projects Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Experience setting up administrator and service accounts and troubleshooting. Good understanding of Oracle database, related utilities, and tools Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring. Knowledge about load balancers, storage, and cloud environments. Working knowledge of Windows Servers and IIS server. Knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios Good understanding of Oracle security management Good understanding of Oracle data integrity Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems and related products Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general system management best practices This position requires an active DoD Security clearance with a minimal of a Tier 3 investigation. Possess a Secret Security Clearance and be eligible for a Top-Secret Security Clearance based on a Tier 5 investigation.
