OR Scrub Technician

Full Time 2420 Lake Ave Nursing 1st Summary The OR Scrub Technician will perform various direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of the licensed caregiver. Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Graduate of or Certification through an approved Surgical Scrub Technician program Knowledge of basic computer skills Ability to work independently Strong organizational skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to accurately perform multiple tasks simultaneously and meet multiple demands Ability to work in a high stress area Excellent customer service skills Required Length and Type of Experience 2-3 years clinical experience, preferred Required Licensure or Certification Current BLS certification required Required Physical and Environmental Demands Required full range of body motion including handling and lifting of patients. Manual and finger dexterity; eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 lbs. Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions. Exposure to communicable disease and/or body fluids.
