Includes week night and weekend call requirements. Must be able to respond to call and arrive at facility within 30 minutes. Sign on bonus included The staff nurse, under general direction and in accordance with hospital standards and policies, will be responsible for evaluating and providing the nursing care for the assigned patients and related work to maintain the function of the unit. The staff nurse directs and guides the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining the standards of professional nursing and the established policies and procedures of the organization. Must be flexible enough to adjust to staffing changes and needs dictated by patient care requirements. Must be physically able to perform all activities on generic and/or special unit credentialing inventory and as indicated in job description. Practices in regard to accepted Standards of Practice and Ethics. Serves the following age population: adolescent, adult and geriatric. Requirements Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing and hold a current RN licensure from State of Ohio Board of Nursing. Preference is given for previous surgery experience. Must be able to provide nursing care requiring specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from the principles of the biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences. Will continue to maintain competency by completing a minimum of 24 hours of Continuing Education Credit (CNE) courses within each two-year period, corresponding to license renewal. Certification in related nursing practice is encouraged.
