Operations Research Analyst with Security Clearance

LinQuest is seeking a Senior Operations Research Analyst to join our team in Dayton, OH. US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance are required LinQuest is seeking a full-time Operations Research Analyst to support the development of the Bilateral Enterprise Analysis Model (BEAM). BEAM is a defense enterprise-level simulation of operational warfare (campaigns) with intelligent and adaptive adversaries and allows exploration of military strategies and force structures (to include new technologies). LinQuest desires an individual with a strong math and coding background with experience in developing models. The individual should also have knowledge of operations research techniques such as simulation and mathematical programming. The individual will be involved in developing new and modifying existing algorithms within BEAM in addition to supporting studies using the model. Successful applicants should be adept at breaking complex problems into manageable elements and identifying candidate solutions for each. Additionally, Operations Research Analysts must have the ability and motivation to expand their knowledge of various analytic tools and techniques and are expected to seek out opportunities to improve processes and share knowledge with the broader analytic community. Responsibilities: The Analyst will work as part of a contractor team working alongside a broader team of government and contract staff
Understand customer requirements, adjusting analytical efforts to meet those requirements, and effectively communicating results
Utilizing studies and analyses, the analyst will make recommendations regarding the military utility, feasibility, and affordability of the concepts and capabilities under study
Coordinate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectivesRequired Skills and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Probability, Statistics, or other technical degree requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics to include calculus
Experience in the research, analysis, and application of operations research techniques to more than one problem type
3 years or more analytic experience
Proficiency with R or Python
Excellent oral and written communication skills
An active Secret clearance is requiredPreferred Skills and Experience: Master's Degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, or Statistics
6-15 years of experience
Experience within the DoD or as a Defense Contractor working as an analyst
Experience conducting combat modeling simulation and analysis
Experience using AFSIM, STORM, SEAS, or other related models
Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data

MS Office & VBA
