Duties As a Operations Officer at the GS-1001-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Plans, organizes, and oversees the operational activities of the Production Services Directorate (PSD) component, including visual, audio, and written content development and distribution. Develops and executes operational concepts for Production Services Directorate's divisions, which support service and DoD communication strategies and public affairs objectives. Works with division leaders to analyze workflows, resources, budget, and procedures for creating media content intended to meet client communications goals. Organizes, manages, and monitors operational taskings, both internal to the directorate, and from levels above. Serves as the Contracting Officer Representative subject matter expert for the component. Oversees and managing training resources, schedule, availability, and classes for members of production services. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test screening and periodic testing thereafter, if required. Must be able and available to travel for up to 10 days at a time, both in CONUS and OCONUS. Must possess and retain a valid drivers' license. This position is NOT remote work eligible Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Planning, Coordinating, and reviewing the operations of the Production Services Directorate in developing new concepts, policies, management controls, standards, and procedures; Providing advice to senior leadership on a wide-range of topics to include levels of service in support of communication objectives, overall Directorate performance, and guides Directorate efforts to align with agency strategic goals and objectives; Providing resource management and monitoring new/evolving requirements, priorities, and resources such as budget, personnel, training opportunities and equipment/technology. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
