Operations Manager

My Client is an investment advisory firm in Central Texas serving high net worth families and select institutions through investment management, financial planning, and educational services. The company has a tight knit culture with an emphasis on client service, relationships, and results.

What will the Operations Manager do?

  • Work with the Compliance Department to ensure policies and procedures align with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain processes to drive accuracy and efficiency, including operational, trading, and compliance oversight
  • Conduct daily reviews to identify trading anomalies and ensure compliance with firm policy
  • Approve transactions over approved thresholds and conduct transactional surveillance
  • Establish procedures for multi-custodian setup and trading
  • Handle and resolve escalated client issues, ensuring complete satisfaction
  • Ensure cohesive decision-making across departments
  • Collaborate with accounting to evaluate ongoing exceptions
  • Exhibit deep understanding of private placement suitability and qualifications
  • Surveillance of discretionary and non-discretionary portfolios
  • Knowledgeable about trading nuances for all asset classes
  • Monitor large trades outside existing technology
  • Communicate with third party managers regarding trading and setup issues
  • Implement manager/strategy onboarding and offboarding
  • Subject matter expert on margin, loan, options, donor advised funds, 529 plans, and FI trading products
  • Perform operational audit oversight
  • Maintain a positive client experience
  • Serve as CRS for strategic clients and backup CRS for complex client setups and issues
  • Develop knowledge of enterprise and business systems
  • Assist in developing business intelligence for C-Suite and Compliance reporting
  • Manage vendor setup and management
  • Handle error processing
  • Assist in achieving firm's business development goals
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills in coaching, training, and mentoring team members
  • Manage user entitlements for operational systems
  • Participate in firm initiatives
