The Commercial Lines Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the commercial lines department, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality service delivery, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves supervising a team, implementing process improvements, and collaborating with various departments to optimize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction

Team Leadership & Supervision:
  • Manage and supervise a team of commercial lines service representatives and support staff.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance evaluations, and provide coaching and development.
  • Ensure staff are trained on company policies, procedures, and best practices.
Operational Oversight:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the commercial lines department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of policies, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage workload distribution and adjust resources as needed to meet departmental goals.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
  • Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular audits of processes and documentation to maintain high levels of accuracy and compliance.
  • Address and resolve any compliance issues in a timely manner.
Customer Service:
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by overseeing the resolution of complex customer inquiries and issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze customer feedback to drive service improvements.
Process Improvement:
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to optimize systems and workflows.
  • Lead or participate in special projects aimed at improving operational performance.
Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare and analyze operational reports to track performance metrics, identify trends, and support decision-making.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on departmental performance and key initiatives.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lines insurance operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in commercial lines insurance systems and software.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial lines insurance products, processes, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications:
  • Professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, or CIC are preferred.
