Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Job Summary: Raytheon is seeking an Operations Chief Engineer in Las Cruces, NM. Responsible to the Raytheon Site Lead and will work in collaboration with the local Program Operations Manager for the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support for all missions located at site. This includes tracking operations training needs, new mission support, automation efforts, process improvements, customer priorities, and management requests. This position will work in partnership with other Chief Engineers local and remote. In addition, this position provides department leadership at the Las Cruces, NM facility. Responsible for the technical performance of personnel made. Responsible for staffing all department positions. Technical performance of the team; including managing the certification and training program, the documentation of all procedures and the administration of the Quality Assurance Plan. Responsible for contributing to the development of new innovative and complex concepts that will provide value to the customer. Lead objective orientated teams providing guidance to subordinates of goals and expected results that will meet organizational objectives. Responsible for guiding and mentoring subordinate supervisors from all companies on the contractor team. Exert influence in the development of organizational goals at the program level and in setting customer expectations of the program to the customer. This position is an onsite role - Las Cruces, NM

Foster an environment of process improvement . Provide mentorship of the team from entry level positions to management positions . Understand technical concept related to various missions on program .
May require to be on-call or perform functions outside of standard business hours Basic Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent. Project management experience Hiring Manager Experience Supervisor/Managerial Experience Manage budget and provide CLIN management for the program. Operations and maintenance organizations Process Improvement.
An active and in-scope TS/SCI with CI Poly U.S. security clearance Preferred Qualifications: CORE certification. Program management certification. Customer familiarity. Programing and scripting languages (ie. PEARL, JAVA, Python, etc.) . This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
