We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Operating Room team. This is a permanent, full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, highly skilled, and diverse environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in circulating and scrubbing, surgery, and operating room procedures, with a dedicated focus on patient care and team collaboration. The role will involve working across various surgical specialties, providing an excellent opportunity for professional development and skill enhancement.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
2. Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including setting up surgical instruments and equipment, sterilizing tools, and ensuring adequate supplies are available for surgery.
3. Assist surgeons during surgery by performing duties such as tissue retraction, insertion of tubes and intravenous lines, and suturing of wounds.
4. Monitor patients' vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, and respiration rate during surgery.
5. Communicate with patients and their families, providing emotional support and explaining medical procedures.
6. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to plan, manage, and assess patient treatments.
7. Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and improve operating room efficiency.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of surgical procedures, advancements in technology, and trends in patient care.
9. Adhere to infection-control protocols to protect patients and staff members.

Qualifications:

1. Current and valid Registered Nurse License.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in an operating room setting, with demonstrated competency in circulating and scrubbing roles.
3. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent field.
4. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
6. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
7. Demonstrated knowledge of operating room procedures, patient safety, and infection control standards.
8. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
9. Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
