This Contract-to-Hire role as an Onsite Test Engineer in Richardson, TX will be responsible for the understanding of Test Data Management related to data security, data masking, synthetic data creation and test data strategy planning. The engineer will be responsible for working with teams to provide test data. This role will create synthetic data, perform data conditioning, macro creations for data generation, data masking, provisioning for data and mask data as needed. Strong ability to multi-task in an environment of changing priorities.

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for working with divisional teams to understand data requests and to create a strategy for delivering the data
  • Expertise in TDM function including Data provisioning, sub setting, profiling, Data mining
  • Ability to perform PHI Analysis for determination of masking
  • Responsible for facilitating/providing test data strategy planning
  • Ability to create synthetic data based on customer request
  • Macro generation for synthetic data creation
  • Capable abilities with TDM masking tools (Informatica preferred)
  • Maintains referential integrity and relationships of the masked data
  • Creates and maintains documentation for data masking solutions and processes. Works with application teams to understand the data and identify protected and restricted data
  • Ability to seek out and acquire enhanced skills on cutting-edge test-data management approaches, while championing the adoption of test data management best practices
  • Work directly with QA team members to understand business use cases and help identify test data for short and long-term testing
  • Work with development and business teams to understand application workflows and determine best approaches for test data identification
  • Collaborate with Management to design and implement test data strategy and framework
  • Create test data management roadmap for complex applications, with policies to manage them, and ensure enforcement
  • Ability to identify dependencies, constraints and risks as needed for test data planning
  • Ability to handle escalations / project progress concerns from client and manage them according to expectations

Requirements:


  • Scripting experience with Shell, Perl, .bat, VB Script or any other scripting language experience
  • Data Engineering Certification a plus
  • Bachelor's degree required or combination of education and 2 years' experience OR 4 years Information Technology experience

Preferred Requirements:


  • Experience with Selenium Automation - capable
  • Python experience - capable
  • Experience with SQL database queries and programming
  • Demonstrated expertise in data masking concepts, with proven implementation experience. Familiarity with data quality, cleaning and masking techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose diverse technical issues in a complex enterprise environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage workload and projects in order to navigate peaks, prioritize competing commitments, and complete assignments in accordance with established deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail, follow-through and customer focused orientation
  • Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving abilities, with demonstrated troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
