Occupational Therapist

We have an immediate opening for a full-time, pediatric occupational therapist who is enthusiastic, caring, compassionate, resourceful, and motivated. Our privately owned clinic is open Monday - Friday with no weekend hours. Responsibilities:
Completion of documentation for all pre-authorizations, initial evaluations, re-evaluations, assessments, insurance reports, medical reviews, appeal processes and progress reports
Complete new patient intakes and parental interviews for therapy
Conduct evaluations to identify client's needs
Utilize goals and objectives to develop and implement treatment plans; adjust plans as needed
Provide 1:1 therapeutic intervention and group instruction based on client needs
Educate family/caregivers on disorders, treatments, interventions, and at-home practices
Collaborate with other clinicians and the child's physician and/or school when needed
Participate in weekly individual and multidisciplinary case-based group mentoring
Maintain OT equipment, and conduct staff training and safety checks for equipment use

Qualifications:
OTR/L (required) or OTD
Current license from the State of Illinois in Occupational Therapy (required)
Sensory processing disorders experience, preferred
Strong knowledge of child development (specifically birth to 18 years), preferred
Experience with and passion for working with children, preferred
Personable, playful, positive, and patient with the ability to effectively build rapport with children and families
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as on a team
Must be willing to be fingerprinted and pass a background check
Must be dog-friendly - we have therapy dogs in the office

Physical Requirements
Periods of extensive standing (up to 2 hours at times), walking, and running.
Navigating uneven surfaces.
Requires lifting (25 - 30 lbs), positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients.
Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.

Rolling Meadows, IL 60008: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Pay: $69,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
