Hunter Gibbons is proud to represent a 385-bed acute-care hospital, distinguished as a stroke receiving center and level 2 trauma facility. We house an innovative, patient-centered, and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department. Our dedicated team delivers a wide array of inpatient and outpatient services, encompassing acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand, and lymphedema clinics.
Summary:
We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our compassionate team. In this role, you will evaluate, plan, and implement specific treatment programs tailored to individual patients, following the principles and practices of occupational therapy. As an interdisciplinary team member, you will conduct patient assessments, provide direct care, and develop personalized care plans.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to physician orders for occupational therapy.
- Administer and interpret tests and measurements of patients.
- Review patient charts and progress prior to treatment, modifying treatment plans accordingly.
- Develop functional goals based on patient and/or family expectations.
- Develop, improve, or restore skills in activities of daily living, work, or productive activities.
- Seek clarification of physician orders as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (Required)
Experience:
- 2 years as a practicing Occupational Therapist in a healthcare setting (Preferred)
