Position Overview:

Working under the general direction of and upon physician referral, the Occupational Therapist will assess the functional needs of physically disabled patients, develop treatment goals, and implement appropriate treatment plans utilizing a variety of occupational therapy procedures. Demonstrating expertise in catering care to the age of patients served, as well as understanding the principles of growth and development over the lifespan, the Occupational Therapist will provide care with consideration of developmental status.

Primary Duties:

Objectively and quantifiably assess a baseline level of self care function for each referred patient based on the treatment diagnosis. This evaluation should encompass pertinent medical and onset history, cognitive function, sensory perceptual motor function, selfcare, and activities of daily living function.

Identify functional needs and establish appropriate treatment outcome goals following the initial patient assessment. These goals will be integral to the patient's treatment plan, expressed in measurable terms, and tailored realistically to the patient's condition.

Plan and implement treatment programs designed to achieve or significantly progress toward the established outcome goals. These programs will adapt dynamically relative to the patient's clinical response, ensuring consistency and continuity to enhance the patient's clinical response.

Hours:

Normal hours are 8 a.m. 5 p.m., MondayFriday. However, schedules may vary in accordance with business necessity.

Shift Differentials (pay is based on majority of hours worked):

Evening Shift (3 pm 11:30 pm) = 8%

Night Shift (11:00 pm 7:30 am) = 11%

No Weekend Differential

Minimum Requirements:

Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy curriculum with a minimum of a bachelor's degree.

Licensure to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of Idaho is required. Candidates may apply prior to graduating or receiving licensure.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
