CHI Health Clinic is actively seeking a full-time OB/GYN to join our established practice in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Based at the Valley View Clinic & CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs Hospital, this is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated Physician to step in to a growing practice.

Details of the position:
  • Busy practice with existing patient panel available
  • Team of 3 physicians
  • Call 1:7
  • Average of 21-24 patient visits per day
  • 10 Deliveries per month on Average
  • Ultrasound, NST, and Colposcopy available in the clinic
  • LEEP is available inpatient only
  • EPIC
  • Large referral network of Primary Care providers
  • Open to outreach in Southwest Iowa
  • Provision of clinical care as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Utilize the DaVinci surgical robot and other state of the art equipment, depending on case needs
  • Opportunity for Academic Appointment with Creighton University
Details of the position:
  • Must be BE/BC in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Ability to obtain an Iowa and Nebraska License

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care:
    • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
    • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.

    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
    • Provide clear and concise medical information.

  • Documentation:

  • Diagnostic Procedures:
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
    • Perform procedures as needed

  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
    • Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
  • Quality Improvement:
    • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
    • Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
    • Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Compliance:
    • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
    • Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Continuous Learning:
    • Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.
    • Participate in ongoing medical education and training.
    • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications
  • American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty
  • A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible

Pay Range
$139.42 - $157.21 /hour
