POSITION PURPOSE: The qualified candidate will provide patients with OB/GYN care services. The individual must be proficient in treating various medical problems ranging from preventive care to more complex and difficult-to-identify conditions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
- Diagnosing and treating conditions that affect women, such as certain types of cancer and conditions like menopause.
- Working with expecting mothers to explain the childbirth process.
- Performing routine checkups with patients.
- Providing prenatal and postpartum care for new mothers.
- Formulate and implement health management and plans with patients.
- Maintain patient records in the prescribed manner (problem-oriented record system).
- Write and dictate letters and summaries, referrals, etc., for appropriate coordination/continuity of care.
- Assist with and participate in staff/community health education projects.
- Participate in weekly case conferences and chart audit systems on a regular basis.
- Participate in regular continuing medical education activities (50 credit hours per year).
- Provide adequate patient encounters (minimum) per year.
- Perform other related work as required by the Supervisor.
- Carry out QCHC House Rules.
- Maintain accurate logs and record keeping.
- Active participation in the Quality Assurance Program.
- Participate in quarterly peer reviews.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to provide care in telehealth services.
- Able to work with little supervision.
- Hardworking team player.
- Willingness to travel to additional QCHC medical sites.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Proof of Medical Degree and completion of Residency from accredited school.
- PA Licensure
- Board Certification
- Clearance from National Data Bank
