OB/GYN Academic Staff UHTMC Full time University Health Physicians, an academic group practice affiliated with the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine in conjunction with its major teaching facility Truman Medical Centers/University Health (TMC/UH). University Health Truman Medical Center University Health Physicians (UHP) is the physician group practice for the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Medicine (UMKC) in conjunction with its major teaching facility. UMKC supports several residencies and many of our physicians have teaching responsibilities for residents and medical students. UHP is also the primary physician group for Truman Medical Centers/University Health in Kansas City, MO. known as "Kansas City's Essential Hospital," it is the safety net healthcare system for Jackson County/Kansas City, MO. Job Description The ideal candidate is a BC/BE Ob/Gyn physician who provides excellent full scope obstetric and gynecologic care, in the office and hospital. Our OB/GYNs are supported by sub-specialists including maternal-fetal medicine, female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery and gynecology-oncology. The OB/GYN Faculty will provide care at our UH-TMC campus, home to a brand new state of the art Level 3 NICU and newly remodeled Labor and Delivery, postpartum and OB Emergency Room. Responsibilities include: Patient management in our newly renovated state-of-the-art Labor & Delivery unit Full-spectrum outpatient OB/GYN management in our brand-new clinics, including opportunity for in-office procedures. Busy GYN Operating Room opportunities, including daVinci robotic surgery Care of Antepartum & Postpartum patients. Provide coverage for GYN inpatients including full spectrum operating as well as emergency surgical care for gynecologic patients presenting through the ED. Opportunity for private patient care Serve as an expert clinical resource for L&D staff along with routine patient assessment and triage Supervise and instruct University of Missouri Kansas City OB/GYN residents as well as the UMKC School of Medicine rotating students. In addition to a busy residency program of 32 residents, the Department of OB/GYNhas a maternal-fetal medicine fellowship program, and exciting opportunities for research and academic achievement.
