Company Description Colby Community College is located in northwest Kansas, approximately 50 miles from the Nebraska and Colorado borders. From a humble beginning of 99 students in 1964, CCC now serves more than 2,100 students annually. Job Description Colby Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Lab/Clinical Simulation Instructor. The Lab/Clinical Simulation Instructor will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the simulation labs, provide technical skills, instruction, and evaluation to support the use of laboratory activities and simulations. Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate and facilitate simulation and laboratory learning activities and opportunities for students; Assist faculty in creating, preparing, delivering, and evaluating high-quality simulation and laboratory experiences; Work with faculty to update all simulation and lab-related experiences and curriculum to meet course objectives; Prepare equipment, supplies, and physical set-up and break-down for laboratory and simulation activities. Conduct ongoing maintenance of all equipment, including cleaning, hardware and software updates, and repairing equipment; Implement simulation and laboratory activities that meet the highest educational standards; Assist students in all campus laboratory and simulation activities; Assist DON in identifying equipment needs, new and/or replacement; Assist in conducting the inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies; Keep DON advised regarding laboratory equipment and supplies needed for students; Maintain regular office hours to ensure accessibility to students and colleagues; Actively support recruitment and retention of students; Maintain confidentiality of student information; Effectively communicate with, cooperate with, and support other College personnel in daily activities; Attend scheduled faculty meetings; Participate in essential College activities, including professional development, institutional effectiveness, assessment, recruiting, and committee service; Represent the College in a professional manner as evidenced by dress, demeanor, and the discharge of daily responsibilities, and in keeping with the mission of the institution; Promote, support, and facilitate student learning; Fulfill other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or College administration. SALARY Mid $40,000, depending on education, credentials, and experience. At least two years' experience in a related role or field.
