Nursing Assistant FT Nursing Pool Days

Job Description: FT 7am-3:30 shift 40 hours weekly Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care to patients considering the special needs of pediatric and geriatric patients when indicated, assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse of the team/and or unit. JOB DUTIES: Provides general nursing care (i.e., personal hygiene, routine vital signs, passing and picking up meal trays, positioning patients, lifting and turning patients, providing fresh water, applying/utilizing special equipment, assisting in the use of bedpan, urinal, or commode, ambulating the patient, pre and post-operative care, application of abdominal binders; performs routine treatment procedures including enemas, application of appliances of heat and cold, sitz baths, and specimen collections). QUALIFICATIONS: High School graduation or completion of G.E.D verified. Successful completion of an Approved Aide Training Program is preferred.
