Summary This position serves as the Quality Assurance Nurse Advisor for the Phoenix Indian Medical Center (PIMC) and has the primary responsibility for Continual Survey Readiness activities of Inter Cycle Monitoring (ICM), Patient Tracers, and maintenance of the Quality Dashboard metrics. Videos Help Duties Continual Survey Readiness (CSR): Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates continual survey readiness activities of ICM, Patient Tracers, and Quality Dashboard metrics to assure accreditation compliance for PIMC. Provides information to staff and leadership, participated in CSR activities, monitors and analyzes Dashboard CRAE's acting as a resource and providing feedback to staff. Organizes and conducts the Quality Council activities. Prepares and submits a monthly report of clinical quality data and ongoing program evaluation with identified problem areas and corrective action plans. CMS - Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) Liaison: Serves as the PIMC Liaison to the Arizona Professional Review Organization (PRO) and QIO. Implements a Medicare Review Program in compliance with the current PIMC Memorandum of Understanding. Receives and responds to all QIO/PRO correspondence. Participates in biannual Health Services Advisory Group (HSAG) meetings. Peer Review Liaison: Serves as the organization's liaison for medical staff external independent peer review. Works with the Clinical Director and Medical Executive Committee to assist medical staff conduct peer review and provider profile program. Qualifications To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Education: A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs , Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Degree from Foreign Nursing School: Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools. Licensure: For all grade levels and positions, applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination . In addition, they must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Experience: The work experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. At the GS-9 and above grade level, many positions may require experience in a specialty area of nursing. In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GS-11: Successful completion of a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree from a professional nursing educational program or related medical science field; OR At least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:Assesses and evaluates organizational compliance with established accreditation standards; serves as a liaison to external quality improvement organizations; and collaborates with medical staff leadership and the Medical Executive Committee to support the peer review process. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GS-12: At least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Develops corrective action plans and sustainability measures to address compliance deficiencies; serves as subject matter expert for regulatory standards and accreditation content; provides technical assistance with development of peer review tools and process that support compliance with continual survey readiness.
