Implements, evaluates, trains and provides ongoing support of multi-service clinical software applications used in the hospital and clinic setting. This involves the use of the multi-service applications that support the Indian Health Service Electronic Center Health Record (EHR) and the Resource Patient Management System (RPMS) as defined, but not limited to Patient Care Component (PCC), Text-Integration Utility (TIU), Case Management, Health Summary, and View Patient Record (VPR). Consults with the service lines and their staff in customizing software and training individuals in the daily operation of the packages as well as how the packages integrate with each other; works with other application coordinators for the implementation of a comprehensive, standardized integrated health care information system to support the clinical software packages. Coordinates with Nursing Informatics, IRM staff and other application coordinators to implement integrated packages, resolve conflicts; Works with programmers in local testing of software, identifying software problems and requesting enhancements; logs all problems, refers those requiring a higher level of technical support to the appropriate person or team. Performs comprehensive professional nursing duties for the care of patients with a variety of injuries and illnesses in all age groups and their families who present with an unlimited range of health problems. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Degree from Foreign Nursing School: Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools. Licensure: For all grade levels and positions, applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination . In addition, they must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Basic Requirements for the GS-09 (or equivalent) Grade Level: In addition to the above requirements, applicants must meet one of the following requirements: Possession of a master's degree in professional nursing; or At least one full year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or above) and possession of a diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in Nursing from a professional nursing program.
