Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations - Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York. JOB SUMMARY: Operates Nuclear Imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic examinations of specific body areas to aid clinicians in the diagnosis of pathology. Must be able to inject radio-isotopes with proficiency as well as maintain appropriate patient records. This individual interacts with patients of all ages. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Must be a graduate of an AMA approved program of Nuclear Medicine. Licensure/Registration/Certification: CNMT or ARRT registration or eligible. Work Experience: Prefer prior experience in all phases of Nuclear Medicine. New graduates may be considered. Physical & Other Factors: Must be able to position patients with appropriate assistance. Standing 75% of the time. Occasional overtime may impose home and social life inconvenience, even though predictable on most occasions and regular volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis, or work location imposes occasional unwelcome interruptions. Work & Environmental Conditions: Radioactive materials, exposure to blood during IV injections. Job Relationships (Responsible to/for, works with): Reports to Nuclear Medicine Coordinator, works with all radiology staff. Interrelates with other hospital personnel.
