Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. NP: Master's degree in nursing PA: Bachelor's degree in a health/science-related field Our Wahpeton team is looking for an Advanced Practice Clinician to join the Family Medicine Department. This patient-centered care team is quality-focused and service-oriented while working in collaboration with one another. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills and have a passion for continuous learning and growth. The current team consists of 4 Internal Medicine and 5 Family Medicine providers, 2-General Surgeons, 1 Chiropractor, and 1 Optometrist in a newly remodeled clinic that also offers an Ambulatory Surgery Center on-site. The team continues to grow and expand services. The position will include: 1.0 FTE, full-time status (36 patient contact hours; 4 hours professional time per week) Mon-Fri 8am-5pm Care for all ages (newborn through geriatric); mix of Same Day and Family Medicine 16-20 patients per day Established patient base Interest in Orthopedic Sports Medicine desired May also provide outreach support at our satellite clinics The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others. EDUCATION/TRAINING: Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (if NP). Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state. Current certification in CPR National certification, in applicable area. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
